9/28/09: The Save Zanskar logo is complete. It was donated by the thangka artists at Tashi Dhargyal's studio.

10/30/09: There is now a FaceBook fanpage for Save Zanskar.


11/09: Geshe Lobsang shares updates on the children!


Diykit is now 16, she sees Geshela frequently in Dharamsala, and enjoys her studies at Dormaling Nunnery.


Summer 08: Choedak was only barely five when he left Zanskar and his parents. Today, he is very happy!


Summer 08: Geshela speaks with the children about the importance of discipline, education and the importance of their return to Zanskar to help their families.

 
Summer 08: Geshela and Pema visit the children in Manali to buy their summer clothes.


March 10: Geshela visited the children in Manali this past week.


Geshela gives an update:  "Three are in 7th grade, four are in 6th grade, five are in 5th grade, and three are in 4th grade. Four of the boys are in the monastery school, and Deckyit is in the nunnery here in Dharamsala.  Everyone is studying very hard, and I am happy to see them growing well both physically and in their education."  He also wanted to thank everyone for making donations -- they are greatly needed!

March 16, '10:
Talk Tibet hosted the first screening of Journey From Zanskar at Yongling School in McLeod Ganj.  Special thanks to Tsundue for presenting!



June 19, '10:

Thank you to generous donors who made the kids' return to their families for Summer holiday possible!  This was the first time they had seen their families in six years.  You can see a slide show of the pictures here!
